Our Design Process
Our design makes use of strong linearity, often creating continuous horizontal lines that run the length of our spaces and objects. We see this as a timeless feature - one that takes the eye and extends it among the piece and the space. We like to play off the existing architecture in a space and use this residual information to move our pieces along towards finish.
Design begins at discovery. Upon beginning any project, we will collaborate with our clients about specific needs, desires, and limitations. We will observe the space to ensure our design not only meets the dimensional parameters, but also achieves a level of aesthetic that fits the space. Encore will also offer interior design that extends beyond our work. Utilizing cabinetry and millwork as the backbone of any large project, i.e. kitchen, bathroom, etc., we can incorporate all other matters of work into our design as an interior designer. Examples of this include selection and layout of stone, appliances, plumbing and electrical fixtures, lighting, wall finishes, tile, flooring. Out of the box design requests are also encouraged.
